Join us as the U.S. Supreme Court takes up two cases of importance to Indian Country. The room will open early for an overview of the arguments in Ysleta del Sur Pueblo v. Texas, a tribal sovereignty case, and Denezpi v. United States, a tribal court case.
The hearing in Ysleta del Sur Pueblo v. Texas (20-493) is scheduled first. The court has set aside 70 minutes for argument.
Immediately following, the court will take up Denezpi v. United States (20-7622). The justices have scheduled 60 minutes for argument.
The Supreme Court tends to go over time in Indian law cases so expect a long morning of arguments.
