Whether you live here, work here, or have visited through a friend or loved one, you know that Cancer Land isn’t a place that you enter lightly or leave easily.

𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.

🌟Please nominate people you know who will bring thoughtful perspective to these conversations or need a space to talk about their cancer experience without the typical branding or language associated with cancer culture.
Lead with loving kindness.: This is an inclusive space for all people. No hate speech or bullying will be tolerated. We’re also ask that you respect each individual’s experience and the way they choose to share it.
Language matters.: Consider your word choices and who you are speaking with before you assign labels or assumptions that may not fit everyone in the room. Not everyone feels seen and heard through common cancer-speak.
