Process Serving (delivering court documents) is as old as the US Constitution. Yet most Americans still have no clear idea what’s really involved. Historically, former law enforcement officers would fill this role, but in recent years the industry has become more diverse.  In most states, process servers are self employed and can choose to work part or full-time.
