We provide a safe fun space for debate exercises. Our rules are simple. No politics. Everyone gets two minutes to talk plus a summary about what they said from the person after them, followed by 40 seconds in a final rapid round. The goal is to exercise your brain while working on critical thinking skills and active listening. Please follow Prescott Paulin with an alarm bell to get notified when we start new debate rooms. All skill levels are welcome.
No politics or personal attacks.: All sides in the debate room will be decided by the process of a coin flip. You might debate in favor of something you don't personally believe in. So don't hold that against anyone else or attack em.
Once the debate is over, no redebating.: When the stage is opened back up to comments from the audience, we are looking for constructive feedback to help people improve their debate skills AND active listening. Thoughts on structure, too.
Be kind, it might be their first time.: We are here to support our community and actively listen to one another. If you apply the skills you learn in this group to your real world relationships, you might find massive positive improvement!!
