Inuit throat-singing or katajjarniq, is a form of expression and imitation of the environment. Inuit throat-singing has been known for friendly competitions, imitating environmental sounds, comforting our children and connecting. The commonly known form consists of two people singing duets in a close face-to-face formation. There are no instruments used, it can be an entertaining contest to see who can outlast the other.
