For the past 2+ years I hadn’t penned a bio. But that was by dezyn. Having said that, i love: -most things textile related(worldwide) -people who create luscious work with their hands -dyers/weavers and the like(also worldwide) -great music when it’s not ratchet and sometimes when it is. a good beat will make the words go down smoother(Julie Andrews in The Sound of Muzak comes to mind) -the kindness of strangers before we become acquaintances -the best food in out of the way places(Bukas included) -Sunrises and Sunsets in every part of the world I’ve visited -precious words skillfully woven together(usually referred to as books or chapter stories) -a belly laugh like no other -a fierce pencil skirt like my mom and aunties wore in the 50s -fantabulous orgasyms that leave my body in bliss -the phrase “wetin dey concern me” as a way to tell myself it’s time to mind my own in other words i’m smart in a way that blends history, culture and everything but the kitchen sink into a mix of humor rarely recognized unless you’re a smart cookie too. this Bio is in no way complete, as I am not complete, or as the old folks down home used to say “God’s not done with me yet” Feel free to circle back for updates….. 😉
