Her grandfather was a Taino Shaman and taught her the ways of natural healing. On the other hand, her father was a drug lord and the head of a notorious gang in New York City. Her early exposure to mysticism and the hardened street culture informs her writing and colors her worlds with radical, never-seen characters and wild plots. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Comparative Literature from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. It is a private, all womenโ€™s college where she met the late, poet and activist, Maya Angelou and Nobel Laurate, holocaust survivor, Eli Wiesel. ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ“•๐Ÿ“– On her writing desk, you will find books of physics, world languages, mythology and action figures including G.I. Joes, Marvel/D.C., Wrestling figurines (Yasmine was the only female wrestler in high school), as well as Doctor Who toys. Mixed martial arts, playing drums and drawing are favorite pass times.
