In collaboration with Dr Braden Barnett of the Keck School of Medicine at USC, completed a 40-day 💧-only fast and became medication-free ✌️in December 2019. 🤟🏽Diabetes-medication and insulin free since December 2019. 👀 Vision improved over a 2 year fasting lifestyle (8/8/19 to Present) and cured diabetic retinopathy. Current experiment on whether fasting can heal damage from Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and Coronary Heart Disease in collaboration with Dr Parveen Garg of the Keck School of Medicine at USC: 1) June 2021 LVEF = 40% November 2021 LVEF = 60-65% 2) February 2022 - Improved systolic with triple-bypass and repair of mitral valve. Unfortunately, back on medication post-surgery. Completed 6-month restricted rehabilitation and re-started fasting and fitness experiment. Goal to be medication-free again. ✳️ My club “Functional Fasting.” Weekly meeting on hiatus due to current fasting experiment. Current focus: 1. Research 🔬 in: metabolic diseases, osteoarthritis, and diseases caused primarily by inflammation.
