I ran a for-profit community venture in Silicon Valley called rBlock Inc. from 2005 to 2014. We partnered with the City of Palo Alto, and learned a ton. Our new startup is still in stealth mode. Our most important long-term goal is to contribute to the reversal of anthropogenic climate change. We plan to launch and scale a community-driven transportation marketplace that will significantly reduce the number of cars on the road AND the total cost of everyone’s mobility. Car owners will save up to 75% while riders will save up to 90%. Our secret sauce, best described as a “community network”, makes our new venture a pivot from my first one, rBlock.
