The first half of the 20th century in the visual arts is of interest to me. Most of the interesting art movements, in my opinion, took place from the end of the 19th century in Europe until the middle of the 20th century in the United States. There is a world of art history both before and after that time span but I am especially interested in these approximately fifty years. I’m an artist and I try to make paintings that are non-referential, lyrical and incisive.
