His service in the arts is to carve out worlds when there’s nowhere else in current normal to reside. The holder of an MFA in poetry and BA in English from Rutgers University, Battle is the author of two self-published full-length collections: PROFESS (2018) and THE FOREST OF BRICKS (2015). His poems are also in journals such as Radius: from the Center to the Edge, The Legendary, FreezeRay Poetry, and Journal Of New Jersey Poets As a curator, Battle is the founder and CEO of EvoluCulture Ventures LLC, a Newark-based Intergrated media and performing arts organization that holds space for artists and art lovers.
