I'm a psychologist, helping the community through evidence-based therapies since 2014. I found two virtual clubs, such as: - Soft Skills Development and - Psychology 1o1. Graduated in Applied Psychology (H. 2012), Delhi University & did my MA in Psychology (H. May 2014). In Aug 2014, joined a full-time PhD, to study impact of Motivational Interviewing & group CBT on heroin users in Punjab. The intervention aimed to see effects on cognitive & behavioural abilities with a therapy span of 12/ 8/ & 4 sessions, using separate experimental groups. I provided 100%free counselling to over 1K substance users in Punjab, in group counselling sessions (5+years). During PhD research intervention time, I witnessed the malpractice in Pvt Rehab centres in Punjab, which was a part of my research, and alerted goverment agencies about them, and the act brought a lot to positive change in monitoring their practice. It is a fact that drug-addicts can't be forcefully rehabilitated without winning their trust & safeguarding their rights. Beyond my work with drug addicted people, I've extended my expertise to areas such as: counselling students for their career & emotional issues, guiding youth & adults about relationship issues, skilling employees and freshers to deal effectively with daily mental health struggles (anxiety, stress, personality development, & adjustment issues), and have worked with clinical population having neuro-cognitive disorders, & age-related challenges, & educating & guiding families impacted by neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD, intellectual disabilities, & autism. My passion lies in helping my community overcome life's challenges with practical resilience skills, assertive communication, inclusion, & community well-being.
