Chose cost-per-carat over cost-per-click, and I am a Graduate Gemologist (GIA). I spent 12 years working in Talent Acquisition, TV Production, Media / Advertising / Digital Media in NYC. While I love the industry, I didn’t like it as a job. One bad agency can leave a bad taste for an industry. I decided to move on... I asked myself what do I want to do everyday? I laughed and thought “Get paid to wear a tiara like the Queen.” The thought stuck with me...I work at auctions, in research and give free advice. Surprisingly, my time in the Jewellry & gem industry expanded my knowledge of history, geography, physics, chemistry, international politics, economics, seismology and anthropology. My favorite part of Jewellry are the stories behind the companies, pieces & stones. But, I have spent the past 2 years on a timeout when it comes to working. My purpose has been as caretaker & volunteer. I’ve continued to provide media & PR services on a volunteer basis. I’m always open to getting involved with non-profits and opportunities to do volunteer work: Epilepsy Foundation(s), Junior League, NY Common Pantry, Covenant House, Greenwich Hospital, Make-a-Wish, Bowery Mission, The Valentine Community Project Syracuse University (Newhouse School of Public Communications) 2005 G.I.A. Graduate Gemologist (New York) 2013 Member of The Players “A Certain Club” Elder Millennial Sometimes it’s just time to listen. It’s my time to listen. Advocate for Epilepsy, Quality-of-Life-Services & Autism. 3 time Sleep Out member for Covenant House NYC & NJ
