María Lecanda is a Mexican photographer and illustrator currently based in Belgium. Like many others, her passion for marine conservation started with diving and wildlife encounters. When limited to stay above the surface, she found respite in creating images of said richness and started BLACKSCATTER as a collection of stippled ink art, inspired by wildlife and the desire to bring nature and the underwater world into our homes.
