I write motivational poetry doused with faith, hope, and love. ▫️ My poetic journey began as an introverted 7-year-old in St. Mary, Jamaica West Indies. Over the years, I wrote as a means of coping. When I began sharing them with friends, I realized that I could no longer keep the words to myself. In 2016, I published my first collection Bloom by 30, The Miki Chronicles. Though well-received, I struggled with anxiety and depression. My words were still my clutch but my faith in God paved the way for a renewal that led to my second collection April Showers. Published in November 2020, this new collection is about my journey to self-awareness and love. Accompanying the collection is The Poetry Box, a unique self-care experience and in partnership with two black, female-owned businesses with self-care missions.
