As a contributor to BBC News, Forbes and Rolling Stone, she writes about the intersection of culture, business, and social innovation. She's also the founder of Warrior Love Productions, a content strategy and production house developing media projects designed to foster cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. For more than a decade, she's produced content strategies for clients including global brands, startups, and venture capital firms with more than $23 billion in assets under management. In 2017, Melissa launched the startup accelerator Resolve, which coached entrepreneurs in Lebanon to incorporate sustainability and resilience in their operations and offerings. Prior to cofounding Resolve, she built the humanitarian tech platform, The Toolbox, with legendary musician Peter Gabriel. Melissa is a frequent speaker at major industry conferences supporting tech, social innovation, and global entrepreneurship. Her writing has appeared in Fast Company, CBS News, NBC, Mic, Mashable, Village Voice Media, MTV, Cisco's Technology News Network, The Guardian, and TechCrunch. As an on-camera correspondent, Melissa co-hosted the Global People's Summit in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly in 2018. She also hosted a series of 2015 Super Bowl events and the first-ever livestreamed meeting at the UNGA, where she spoke about harnessing technology to achieve the Global Goals. In her early years as a writer and field producer for CNN and Associated Press Television News, she flew in zero gravity at NASA, produced business news segments from the New York Stock Exchange, and interviewed entertainment luminaries at the Emmys, Grammys, Golden Globes, and Oscars. Currently splitting her time between Puerto Rico, Los Angeles and NYC, Melissa is always on the lookout for stories about people defying the odds and pushing culture forward around the world.
