We bought a 10,000 square foot fixer-upper. Our budget was $35,000 for a complete gut rehab. It was a disaster, but we were hooked on home building. Second Level: Bought unentitled land, raised institutional investment capital, and created an award-winning luxury home community and a custom estate golf community. Somewhere in there, we survived the 2008 crash. Third Level: Currently building luxury homes in West Los Angeles (The Sunset Corridor from the Bird Streets to the Beach).
