One became my country’s largest online news company and the other in eCommerce. Both were acquired. In my 30s : I invested in people and ideas. 5 of them became ‘unicorns’ worth $1B ~ 40B. This is still what I do as Managing Partner @500Startups . Seeded 2,500 startups in 75 countries. 20+ unicorns arose. More to come. My dad grew up in a rubber plantation and his 10 siblings toiled so he could get a white collar job and buy me a computer. Today 3.5 billion people have connected supercomputers in their palms.
