There are three main types: spina bifida occulta, meningocele and myelomeningocele. My younger sister was born with Spina Bifida: Myelomeningocele. She had the most amazing spirit of anyone I’ve ever known. There were so many lessons she taught us that has made me into the person I am today. She left us at the young age of 27.
