José Ochoa is an award-winning Mexican-American serial entrepreneur, engineer and business innovation evangelist who started several multi-million-dollar companies in the US and Mexico, among them Global Containers & Custom Packaging Inc., a logistics and packaging company, and Reikoku, a global consumer electronics line. In 2009 the company expanded to El Paso, Texas, leading to a decade of growth and expansion. In 2019 José and his team won the Bridge Accelerator, an intensive, highly specialized program sponsored by Microsoft, that selects local suppliers from the border region and ramps up their operations to international business standards, to make them more viable members of the border supply chain. The award included $25K, which José used to expand the company’s binational footprint (Mexico/US). José is the author of the book: Get in the ring! An entrepreneur’s guide for the f****g real world. José is a graduate of the Stanford University Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative and a member of its Latino Business Action Network, an alumnus of Singularity University’s leadership programs, is a native Spanish and English speaker, and an expert in US-Mexico startup and steady-state business consulting matters. “I want to change the entrepreneurial paradigm from going after what you want, to focusing rather on who you need to become to get there.” -José Ochoa
