Hello! I’m Jess. I love keeping busy and believe in leaving places better than you found them. 😊 My full time job is in architectural lighting β€” I work with lighting designers, architects, engineers, contractors & developers to specify lighting appropriate for any kind of space. I love being part of the design process and am passionate about using light at a medium. πŸ’‘πŸ’– Jess Kaller Design β€” I have my own design build consulting firm with a specialty in the design and install of all things tech and efficiency. My background in lighting helps me to take on the task of β€œmanaging everything that touches the electrical” on your high end residential project. Everything from perfectly designed A/V & lighting systems to security and environmental sensors β€” sustainability, clean air, purified water, acoustics, lighting, biophilic natural design and automated control. I customize each system to meet client needs. My reputation for impeccable project management comes from treating the design build of your dream home as my own. πŸ‘πŸ’– MoRUS β€” the museum of reclaimed urban space is a powerful community & environmental organization based in the LES of NYC. I work with the organization as a representative and development/ fundraising lead. You can find me hosting our annual film festival (held each September). We have a theme each year, with programming running for 5 consecutive days in a different community garden each evening. We host the event as the primary fundraiser for the organization but more importantly to bring together community in these threatened beautiful garden spaces in downtown Manhattan bringing awareness and sparking valuable conversations and connection. This years dates are Sept 9-13th 2021. Morusnyc.org πŸŒ³πŸ’– I have a masters of science from bard colleges center for environmental policy. I am passionate about all things sustainable and firmly believe that taking small actions every day add up. I’m also working to make more measurable shifts in our world through my work in developing recycling programs in the lighting manufacturing world among other eco-warrior endeavors. πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ”¬πŸ’– My dream legacy project is to be part of utilizing oysters to bio regenerate the Hudson River. πŸŸπŸ’– When I’m not working on one of the many commitments above, I love to dance, I love to go sailing, and I love love love to scuba dive. The ocean is my happy place. πŸ’πŸ’–
