After beginning her career as a journalist at the ABC, Grace then moved to Stockholm, Sweden in 2015. In 2016 she co-founded STHLM Music City, a community bringing together the music and tech industries. Through this she gained a reputation as an authority on the Swedish music industry, with her talk entitled “The Swedish Music Wonder”, detailing the reasons for Sweden’s meteoric success in the music industry; from ABBA to Spotify and everything in between. She also compiled the Nordic Music Tech List and moderates various music industry panels and interviews. Aside from heading up STHLM Music City, she is also a freelance journalist and communications professional. Over her time in Sweden, she has worked on projects with Spotify, adidas Headphones, BBC’s ‘The Arts Hour On Tour’, Soundtrap, DoReMir Music Research and many other music and tech companies. She is a former board member of the Australian Business Council of Sweden. As a singer in her own right, Grace is keen to foster stronger relationships between the Swedish and Australian arts and creative industries and is a passionate advocate for female representation in the arts. Grace is temporarily located in Tasmania, Australia during the pandemic but continues to work on Nordic-based projects.
