My name is Néstor Baltodano, coordinator and ecosystemic facilitator for the Colectivo Kamuk (Costa Rica) (http://colectivokamuk.com/) and for the CAHUITA ROOTS Regenerative Development Community Project in Talamanca, Limón, Costa Rica. (http://colectivokamuk.com/cahuita-roots/) I'm a professional photographer working with afrocostarrican and indigenous population in the Costarican South Caribbean coast. I have been working as a social, cultural and environmental manager for more than three years. I'm a promoter of Regenerative Agriculture, Agroecology, Regenerative Development and advocate for the preservation of the cultural heritage and ancestral knowledge of the communities in Talamanca region. I'm currently cooperating with one of SEEDS (Regenerate Money / https://joinseeds.earth/) initiatives to Regenerate Central America by promoting and doing regenerative work on my community in the Costarican Caribbean. CAHUITA ROOTS Regenerative Development Community Project was born as a platform and ecosystemic facilitator to support local communities in the South Caribbean region of Costa Rica focused mainly in afrocostarrican and indigenous population and sociocultural groups of Talamanca. (http://colectivokamuk.com/cahuita-roots/) We facilitate the synergy between the different change makers and social, cultural and environment groups that work in the region. Our mission is to promote the protection and regeneration of our natural ecosystems and promote food security, sustainable, economic, social and spiritual growth for our communities while preserving the local cultural traditions and ancestral knowledge. We are located in one of the regions of Costa Rica among the richest biological, cultural and historical diversity and heritage. We believe that our communities have to look towards their self resilience for all the challenges that are approaching at planetary level while setting an example of cooperation and thrivability even as our communities face difficult social and economic inequity.
