After retiring more than eight years ago, I didn’t expect to begin an entirely new chapter—but that’s exactly what happened. What some might call reinvention, I’ve come to see as growth and openness toward new opportunities. I’m a proud U.S. Navy veteran, and my service gave me the opportunity to experience the world in unforgettable ways—from Italy to Egypt to Hawaii. While military life comes with real risks, those experiences shaped my life, perspective, and the appreciation for people Following my service, I built a 30+ year career in the private sector, specializing in client services and corporate security. I was particularly proud of my time working at the World Trade Center—an experience that remains both meaningful and heartfelt. Throughout my career, I was driven by collaboration, problem-solving, and the ability to envision what’s possible. Retirement, however, opened an unexpected door into the entertainment industry. I discovered a passion for storytelling, taking on acting roles and ultimately focusing on writing. I’ve since written multiple short and feature-length screenplays. Creative work continues to be an important part of my life. I’m especially grateful to the friends and mentors who encouraged me to explore this path. Today, I’ve also re-engaged with the private sector as a part-time Hospitality Sales Associate at Rockefeller Center. I enjoy creating positive guest experiences in one of New York City’s most iconic destinations. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. I believe it’s never too late to grow, explore, and begin again.
