Neither my parents or grandparents were drug addicts or alcoholics but I became one. During the 20 years of my addictions, I was often homeless and unemployed. Using drugs and alcohol to cope with the hopelessness I was experiencing impacted my ability to think clearly and make good decisions. I was often depressed believing that my life held no meaning. What turned it around for me was, through the grace of God, I admitted to myself that I was a drug addict, that I needed help, and that the solution to my suffering required me to take responsibility for the decisions that ruined my life. Today, I am clean and sober for 25 years. The books I have written reflect my journey to sobriety, maturity and emotional stability. I have joined Clubhouse to reach out to the people who are in pain and suffering from bad habits, addictions or loneliness. The "room" I will be establishing as a moderator will give you the opportunity to feel safe to speak freely and honestly about your pain and suffering among a group of people with similar experiences. I am not here to judge, but to share with you what has worked for me while struggling to live a meaningful life. Please visit my website at: BuyRonsBook.com. There, you will be able to purchase my books and read my blogs. If you would like to join up with me to put together a group on Clubhouse of people to openly discuss issues impacting your life, please send me a message here or you can email me at: [email protected]. If you would like to have a one-on-one conversation with me,, call me at 267 721 9551. I hope to hear from you soon!
