Indian. Tamil. Singer. Poet. Political Advisor. Carnatic music despot and lover of the haunting blues. SOAS/KCL educated illiterate. Hyderabadi at heart! I work at the intersection of global political affairs, energy and Climate Change policy. On Clubhouse, I curate rooms on music, politics and culture. My club is titled The Bratman Exposition and you’re welcome to join. I make it a point to keep my role to being a moderator i.e facilitate a respectful exchange of views. Thus, my rooms welcome folks of all dispositions and seek to allow for nuanced debate to take place. I moderate and have no interest in vilifying anyone or pushing an agenda. How can we make better sense of what is happening around us is really my endeavour. If you’re looking for sensationalism, noise, angry arguments, name calling, these rooms aren’t for you. I value empathy, tolerance and respect individuals for who they are and their lived experience. I don’t necessarily agree with everything they say. While this may not be the recipe for bringing in massive crowds, the conversations are almost always fulfilling and wholesome. I am also a Co-founder of a club called The London House where we discuss varied topics and if you love, lived in or have travelled to the big smoke, you’d love these rooms. Do sign up. Get to know me better? My dad wrote a book of poetry to me titled ‘My Son’s Father Confessor’ and I’d be delighted if you got a copy here: https://amzn.to/2RZTxtG For the most part though I am a rather unworldly simpleton deciphering life’s complexities at an appalling pace. Make sense of all this for me, won’t you?
