I am a lawyer helping entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals and others navigate the US immigration system, avoiding the rocks, towards safe waters. 🗽 I am licensed in New York and North Carolina. Based in the Triangle region of North Carolina, currently building my own firm. Originally from Pasadena, CA. On immigration matters, I can represent anyone in the United States and all over the world. A large portion of my clients are in film and TV. I also work with clients who are in other creative fields, people looking to start businesses and people with degrees working in jobs related to their field of study, as well as some humanitarian and family based cases. Biological Sciences (with honors) and Philosophy; M.A. Philosophy). My dissertation was at the intersection of metaethics and philosophy of biology: I studied the evolution of human ethical behavior and its relationship to how we should treat each other. I also write legal scholarship about free speech, pharmaceutical marketing, immigration and cognitive science. I’m the proud furmom of two tiny dogs, a pug mix from from Beijing, China and a Brussels Griffon mix found wandering around Greensboro, NC. The former is named Chrysanthemum and she is my head pupperlegal and the latter is named Cleopatra and she is the best supporting pupperlegal ever. I love reading and writing poetry, exploring nature and urban areas with my husband, dogs and friends, talking about science, art and politics, and watching (and talking about) tv and film. My mother’s parents were brought to the United States 🇺🇸 from Mexico by my great grandparents in the early 1920s in the aftermath of the Mexican revolution.
