To learn more about the shit show that is education in Alberta, check out my interview on The Breakdown with Nate Pike: https://youtu.be/_hFKvwFwlJQ. 🇨🇦 Or visit the open/public the fb group Albertans Reject Curriculum Draft to engage at: Facebook.com/groups/353881362641844 Testimonials from those humans into whose hands and hearts we put our kids every day: 💔 https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1462625433107648516.html Outside of that: I want to know YOUR random, ridiculously specific knowledge that can only be developed by deep-diving into a topic.🤓 Thank you for holding space for us, we’re being gaslighted and denied conversation with our own gov. ... 🎓Knowledge developed through all of the time spent absorbing everything you can from those who came before you in the field and then always followed up by developing your own definition of it. 👨🏾‍💻 📚Time spent reading, listening, speaking, viewing and thinking about that topic, subject, discipline, specialty, or hobby RATHER than (___, ____, or ______) because THIS makes you light up💡, and it gets you excited about what comes next🥳 ❤️Finding someone who has (seemingly) random, ridiculously specific knowledge matters; That is when I really get to see the BEST in humans, and I look for it everywhere. ❤️ I want to hear your analysis of lightning in Ratatouille. Tell me about the hedgehog 🦔pathways in cancer research, especially the sonic one, or the references to classical mythology in MacBeth. I want to know more about 🦞 peeing through their faces and 🐢 breathing through their butts😂. I think that all knowledge is worthwhile knowledge. Explain to me the ecosystems that Water Bears inhabit and if they wore 👖 , what would the design be. I am blessed with enough time to listen wholeheartedly💛. We began our e-commerce journey in 2015 and picked the growth path with the intention of selling in 5 years. In June 2020 we did sell for 7 figures and we couldn’t be more proud of how it all turned out. 💛The best part of that journey was meeting people from all over the world and developing friendships and networks.💛 Aside from this most recent history, we have a 9 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. I spent over a decade as a junior high teacher 👩‍🏫and spent our 20s backpacking🎒 Central and South America.
