Alberto Medina leads communications at CIRCLE, the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University’s Tisch College. CIRCLE focused on nonpartisan research on young people’s civic education and engagement, including voting, with a focus on youth who have meen marginalized or underserved in civic life. Alberto collaborates with CIRCLE leadership on strategic communications, oversees the editorial work to produce and disseminate research, and maintains CIRCLE’s digital presence. A graduate of Yale University, Alberto previously worked as a freelance writer and editor and at national newspapers in his native Puerto Rico. He is a commentator and advocate on Puerto Rico’s political status.
