📍Cambridge 🔄 London An inveterate day-dreamer, stargazer, cloud-chaser. A moss gathering rolling stone. 😐 Trained as an R&D scientist. Earned my wings in the Wild West of the industry... Meandering through AI, robotics, multi-sensor data fusion, CogSci/Psy to New Product Design+Dev in CAD/CAM, biomed and cybersecurity. Exiled for too long in the wilderness of academia... But making a prodigal(!) return hopefully... to work on challenges anew With the ethos of Feynman, Sagan, Kalam... Deeply interested in art, history and the history of art. Enthralled with Magritte, Monet, Mondrian, Turner, van Gogh, Vermeer, Hopper, Husain. Perplexed by Klee, Kahlo, Kandinski, Bruegel, Escher, Souza, Jamini Roy... Poetry courses through my veins... ... from Frost, Faiz, Plath & Pritam to Rumi, Kaifi, Angelou, Heaney & Gulzar. "Poets say science takes away from the beauty of the stars — mere globs of gas atoms. I, too, can see the stars on a desert night, and feel them. But do I see less or more?"  – Richard Feynman There is poetry in physics... And physics in poetry! I love music (not muzak!), movies & mausiiqii. Imbued with the spirit(s) & pathos of Baez, Dylan, Sahir, Majrooh, Mitchell & Springsteen. Always been fascinated with: - anthropology, archaeology, architecture + natural habitats vs built environments - astronomy, astrobiology, astrophysics, space exploration, gravity or the lack thereof! - creativity in design and communication. And the underlying political motives/-ations. I like sushi. And quiche. Not necessarily together. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BLACKOUT POETRY (Session 1 : Tue 12 Oct 2021) Prompt words: Nevertheless Fair breeze Interesting Happiness Do you recall when we sailed the seas? On winds of fair breeze On waves of hard cheese We drank cups of happiness We sang songs of sappiness Nevertheless Ah bless! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Session 4 : Fri 12 Nov 2021) Changing weather Evening Fever Impatient Walking Arms Inhale Fair weather friends Find themselves again Jostling thru crowds Amidst unseen eyes Walking on tip-toes Arms entwined Fingers crossed Barely inhaling. Barely breathing. Feeling feverish Shivering shyly Temperatures rising The day is losing its patience But the evening... still... holds promise... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
